About Utkal Tubers
Utkal Tubers is a potato seeds company focused on development of high-yielding disease resistant varieties. The company is backed by Zephyr Peacock, Meeran Family Office, and Ireland based IPM potato group.
We distribute high quality potato seeds across India. These seeds are developed in-house through research and development with an exclusive licensing arrangement with IPM, one of the leading potato seed company in the world.
IPM provides Utkal access to high yielding and disease resistant potato varieties suitable for India across table and processing segments.

Over 35 years of experience in Seeds Business in India and has good exposure of export market. Has handled seeds production, sales & marketing, sourcing of seeds for various crops in field crops and vegetables at national level. Is qualified in M.Sc (Agriculture – Plant pathology) and holds MBA in Marketing & General Management. Previously worked in Mahyco and Syngenta. Founder of 2 seeds companies in India. Working with Utkal since July 2020
Over 17 years of experience across various MNC’s and agri startups in finance leadership and business roles in corporates like Bayer / Monsanto / Unilever and PwC. Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2008 from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Has led and successfully delivered large complex projects resulting in huge cost savings and business process efficiency at scale. Working with Utkal since June 2022
Has 28 years of rich experience in delivering Agronomy innovation worked as a Senior Management in many MNC’s like Haldiram Snacks Pvt Ltd, Pepsico India Holding Pvt Ltd, Satnam Agriproduct Pvt Ltd. Qualified as a Ph.D. in Morpho – Physiological and Biochemical Characteristics in Response to Calcium. Consumer preference/ generated demand, human development initiatives, invest in R&D towards a culture improvement & enhanced customer satisfaction.
